COTON, Luis D., 65, of Tampa, passed away June 16, 2012 at home surround-ed by his loving family. A native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Mr. Coton was a graduate of Robinson High School, the University of South Florida, and the University of Florida, College of Law. He practiced law in Tampa for over 28 years, was the founder of the Central Florida AILA, and was of the Catholic faith. Preceded in death by his sister, Lydia Swaney; Mr. Coton is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Luz M. Coton; sons, Luis D. Coton, Jr., and Albert A. Coton; mother, Betty Coton; sister, Doris Lind; and other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon, June 21, at 2 o'clock from the chapel of JGR Funeral Home, 6718 N. Armenia Ave., with the Rev. Father Thomas Stokes, Pastor, O.L.P.H. Catholic Church officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in his memory to LifePath Hospice, Inc.
